Synopsis
Exhausted after the party, a young woman waiting for her train succumbs to boredom and drifts into subconscious dreams, where her fears, hopes, and desires reveal a complex web of emotions.
Director Statement
Draws inspiration from Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot and DV8 Physical Theatre, reframing “waiting” as a distinctly contemporary state of anxiety, stagnation, and emotional suspension. Through dance and styling, visualise how anxiety freezes and repeats itself in the mental space, and ends with a gentle shift: instead of endlessly waiting for a Godot who never arrives, the dancer makes a small, self-initiated gesture, quietly reclaiming their own agency.
